Just Dance

The other day I was getting a little exercise playing the Wii game Just Dance when Madelyn woke up from her nap. She immediately joined in the fun. We didn't get the camera out in time to catch her most energetic groovin', but the video at least gives a glimpse into her dancing prowess. The arm waving toward the end of the video has become her signature move.

Last week Tyler's parents came up to spend the long weekend with us. While they were here, we celebrated Papa's birthday. Here are some shots from our time together!

Being Silly

Madelyn is gifted at finding ways to amuse herself.

On the evening I took this video, she found it entertaining just to lay on the floor and laugh at herself.  I'm glad she's such a happy child most of the time.

The snow back home

While a big snow leaves a pristine layer of white on open fields and quiet forests, it wreaks havoc on the tight streets of a city. Here are some of the sights we discovered when we returned from our weekend away during the storm.

Finding Nemo

Winter superstorm Nemo found us on Lake Winnipesaukee in rural New Hampshire, where we traveled with about 75 others from our church for our annual getaway. We had a wonderful time studying Scripture, sharing meals, playing games, and enjoying the snow (close to 2 ft. fell while we were there!). Here are some shots from of the winter wonderland!

Gymnastics Playgroup

At the end of each month, Tyler puts together a toddler playgroup for parents and kids from the church. One of the families' favorite winter locations for this event is a gymnastics academy, where the little ones can run, jump, tumble, and get their energy out in a warm, safe environment. Last month, Madelyn and I joined in the fun, and she had a great time playing with the "big kids."
