We spent the last few days of our trip with more aunts and uncles near the Twin Cities.  Again, we had a great time visiting, playing cards, and relaxing.  Thanks to our family for the wonderful time!

Minnesota Trip - Baby's First Wedding

Although Madelyn attended a number of weddings in utero last summer, last weekend marked her first wedding outside of the womb.  One of my college friends got married at her parents' beautiful cabin near St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The setting was lovely, the food was delicious, and the company was delightful.  We enjoyed reuniting with other college friends and catching up on life.

Minnesota Trip - Baby's First Swim

During two nights of our recent trip, we stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool.  Since Madelyn has acquired several swimsuits, we thought it was time to try one out and see how she reacted to the water.  She was a little unsure at first, but then enjoyed splashing around with her daddy.

Minnesota Trip -- First stop, Trimont

Last week we flew to Minnesota to visit family and attend the wedding of one of my college friends.  We spent the first couple of days with my Grandma and several aunts and uncles.  We had a great time catching up, playing cards, and introducing everyone to Madelyn.

Six Months

These photos were so cute that I had to share several of them!

He Is Risen!

He is risen indeed!  We had a wonderful day worshiping and celebrating Christ's resurrection with friends yesterday.  Madelyn was a champ -- although we started the day at church at 5 a.m. and got home around 1 p.m., she slept when she needed to and was friendly and content the rest of the time.  Here are a few snapshots from our day.

North Shore

Last weekend Tyler's parents came for a short visit.  While they were here, we took an afternoon trip to the North Shore.  First we enjoyed a tasty seafood lunch at Woodman's, "a Yankee tradition since 1914" located in Essex, MA.

Then we drove out to Rockport and walked around Bearskin Neck, a small peninsula that juts into Rockport Harbor.  This little collection of quaint shops and beautiful vistas provided a great place to take a walk and enjoy the sunshine.  (FYI - Rockport was the main filming location for the movie The Proposal starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.)

Madelyn has a lovely little friend who lives up the street and is 10 days younger than she is.  They enjoy checking each other out and playing together.
